Electrostatic surface potentials of HD5 and HD6 homodimers. Monomers A and C of PDB 1ZMP were used to generate the HD5 homodimer, and monomers A and B of PDB 1ZMQ were used to generate the HD6 homodimer [35]. Electrostatic potentials were calculated using APBS [52] and displayed on the solvent-accessible surface. Electronegative and electropositive surfaces are colored red and blue, respectively, and contoured from -3 to +3 kT/e.
