The inset shows a magnified view of a representative VLP. Scale bars = 100 nm. (B). Distribution of VLP diameter. Particle diameter was determined by averaging the longest and shortest measurements as indicated in the diagram at the top right corner using the ImageJ software. A total of 1734 VLPs were examined (mean = 71 +/- 20 nm).
