The frequency of non-productive RGH infection can be altered by treatment of cells with NFκB modulating drugs at the time of infection. A: Jurkat cells were treated with DMSO, TNFα, BMS-345541, or SAHA at the time of RGH infection. Four days post-infection cells were treated with either DMSO or PMA/Ionomycin for 24 hours and analyzed by flow cytometry. Plots shown are representative of triplicate infection experiments. B: Data from panel A is enumerated as the red-yellow ratio of infected cells.
