Bevirimat increase release of HIV-1K359A independently of protease inhibition. A 293T cells were transfected with HIV-1WT, HIV-1K359A, or HIV-1P289S in the presence of 0, 1, 5, or 10 μM Bevirimat. 48 h post transfection, supernatants were pelleted over a sucrose cushion and analyzed by SDS-PAGE alongside cell lysates.
