HIV reverse transcriptase inhibitors can inhibit HERV-K reverse transcriptase. HERV-K supernatant was collected from Hela cells transfected with pCD-HK/Rev plasmid in combination with HIV-1 Tat. HIV-RT inhibitors: a nucleoside RT inhibitors or b non-nucleotide RT inhibitors were added in a dose ranging from 0.05 to 0.25 µM to collected supernatant and PERT assay was performed to quantify HERV-K RT. Any change compared to no treatment was reported as percent inhibition
