Gag-mediated replication capacities in a treatment naive Japanese cohort chronically infected with HIV-1 subtype B. a Distribution of Gag-Protease replication capacities. Recombinant HIV-1NL4-3 was constructed, using plasma-derived gag-protease from treatment-naïve HIV+ Japanese patients, and replication capacity for each virus was determined by in vitro infection. The values were normalized against mean growth rate of wild-type NL4-3. The samples were measured in triplicate. b, c Replication capacities and patients’ clinical parameters.
