The path flow \(f\) through a protein \(n\) is defined as follows—\(f\left( n \right) = \mathop \sum \nolimits_{p \in P} I\left( p \right) \cdot h_{p}\) where \(P\) is the set of signaling pathways predicted by SDREM that contain the protein \(n\) and \(h_{p}\) is the confidence in the existence of path \(p\) which is a product of the confidence in each individual edge of the path (The confidence is a number between 0 and 1).
