From: Evidence for Vpr-dependent HIV-1 Replication in Human CD4+CEM.NKR T-Cells
Vpr is required for HIV-1 replication in the parental NKR cells and non-permissive clones. H9, NKR, N1-NP, and N2-NP cells were infected with WT, ΔVif, ΔVpr, or ΔVpu HIV-1 (NL4-3) virus in the presence or absence of 0.2 μM As2O3. Viral replication in these cells was detected by p24Gag ELISA. All experiments were repeated at least twice and consistent results were obtained.
