Plasma viral RNA levels in infected macaques before and during tenofovir treatment, and following tenofovir withdrawal. Animals were infected with wild-type (wt) or K65R RT viral mutants as described in Table 1. The shaded areas represent periods of tenofovir treatment. Horizontal dotted lines represent the consecutively lower detection limits of the viral RNA assays (500, 125, 30, 10 copies/ml) during the historical course of the experiments.
