Identification of a novel MuLV-ERV, named ERV mch8 , on chromosome 8 of the C57BL/6J mouse genome. A. The 40 nucleotide-probe, which was serendipitously identified during an ERV survey experiment, was used to mine new ERVs from the NCBI C57BL/6J mouse genome database. B. Phylogenetic relatedness of ERVmch8 with a diverse group of reference mouse ERVs is presented. ERVmch8 is highlighted (black box).
