Subpopulations with identical sequences at different times have the same number and color and drug resistant populations are labeled. The left y-axis shows the percentage of a subpopulation in the total population. The right y-axis shows the viral load (diamond symbols) for the whole population at each week. Treatments are shown with arrows at the top of the figure along with the week post-infection (week 0 denotes the RT-SHIV challenge stock). Horizontal red bars show the percentage of all subpopulations with drug resistant mutations (K65R, K103N, M184I, and M184V) in the population of each week.
