Inhibition of replication of T20-resistant HIV-1 strains. Inhibition of the replication of two T20-sensitive (pre-ENF, JRCSF) and two T20-resistant strains (ENF-1 and ENF-2) by P5 was studied in comparison with T20. P5 (open symbols) showed strong inhibitory activities against T20-resistant strains as compared with T20 (closed symbols). Sensitivity to P5 and T20 was measured in a single-cycle assay. Each point represents the mean IC50 value of at least three independent experiments (bars represent standard errors).
