HIV infection aborted in TERT-2 keratinocytes. TERT-2 cell monolayers were incubated with HIV-1 (IIIb or BaL), trypsinized and washed. Cells were sub-cultured at 48 h post incubation. At 0.5 to 72 h post incubation, total RNA was isolated and cDNA was synthesized as described in the Materials and Methods. HIVgag-specific RNA was detected by SYBR real time PCR. β-actin served as the reference housekeeping gene. Data are the mean ± standard deviation of three independent experiments, each performed in triplicate.
