  1. The geometric mean of p24 gag Ag production of replicates in each experiment was used to determine the effective drug concentration where 50% and 90% of viral replication is inhibited (EC50 and EC90, respectively), by linear regression of the log of the percent HIV-1-p24 production (compared to untreated controls) versus the log of the drug concentration. TC50: toxic concentration 50%; drug toxicity has been assessed in the absence of viral infection.
