HTLV-I antisense transcription initiates in the 3' LTR. (A) 5'RACE analysis was conducted using RNA samples from 293T cells transfected with the K30-3'/5681 proviral DNA construct. The resulting amplified products were run on an agarose gel. M = 100 bp marker (the asterisk indicates the 600 bp band).
