Anti-TM response correlates with HIV-1 activity. A) The viremia for 40 VNC was measured by real time PCR and expressed as log of copy/ml of blood. B) The anti-TM response for 80 HIVpos untreated patients was inversely correlated to the CD4+ T cell count (cells/mm3). The detection was done on the same plate with sera diluted at 1:800. The statistical analysis was performed with the Spearman test, or with a Mann & Whitney T test, with a p value <0.05 considered as significant. The figure shows the representative results of three independent experiments. **p < 0.01, ***p < 0.001.
