  1. SEM = Standard error of the mean calculated from three independent experiments. Because TDF and AZT do not titrate fully for cell-to-cell spread we were unable to estimate IC50s based on the sigmoidal dose response curves generated with GraphPad Prism software. A two-tailed student t-test was applied to compare the IC50 values obtained for cell-to-cell vs. cell-free for LPV, DRV and NVP. The p-values obtained are shown in the table. UD = cannot be determined. * = Maximum dose of drug tested.
