Expression of endogenous miR-146a is stimulated by HTLV-1 Tax. Jurkat T cells were transfected with expression plasmids for the HTLV-1 proteins Tax, p30IIand HBZ or a control (pcDNA3). After 48 hours, RNA was extracted and subjected to qPCR detection of mature miR-146a. U6 snRNA was used for normalization. Values represent the means of at least three independent experiments.
